on my way back from farand's place today, at yck station, as i was coming out of the train, i saw this young lady who staggered out, walking like a drunkard. she then tried to support herself with the hand rail, and soon after just tumbled to the floor, sitting upright but showing signs tt her head was throbbing.
there were 2 groups of people after what happened. a small group of people arnd her started to tend to her, trying to support her and see what was wrong, the majority simply just walked passed her, looking to see what happened and just carrying on to see what was planned for their day. well, i was part of the latter group, sad to say.
i walked passed her just as she tumbled to the floor, and i was thinking 'shld i help her? i've got time, or shld i not? and just mind my own business.' so i just walked passed her as others rushed to her aid, some going down to call the mrt staff up. den while waiting for my dad, the story of the good samaritan just appeared in my head.
"...A man was going down from Jerusalem to Jericho, when he fell into the hands of robbers. They stripped him of his clothes, beat him and went away, leaving him half dead. 31A priest happened to be going down the same road, and when he saw the man, he passed by on the other side. 32So too, a Levite, when he came to the place and saw him, passed by on the other side. 33But a Samaritan, as he traveled, came where the man was; and when he saw him, he took pity on him. 34He went to him and bandaged his wounds, pouring on oil and wine. Then he put the man on his own donkey, took him to an inn and took care of him. 35The next day he took out two silver coins[e] and gave them to the innkeeper. 'Look after him,' he said, 'and when I return, I will reimburse you for any extra expense you may have.'

why didn't i help her? it was just a small thing, to see if she was fine, just like the samaritan in the parable. and jesus said to show mercy to others and to love them as yourself. while waiting for my dad, 'all for love' was playing on my ipod too! to show God's love to others. this was just a thot i wanted to blog abt, since i haven't done so for quite a while.
