finally, my first official bookout! army is really a change in environment. everything is different, from the weather (its like s'pore only desert), its time(which passes sooooo slowly) and every other thing! it feels like a month has passed, but its only 2 weeks. 11 more to go
but i guess one thing(or rather a few things) army has taught me is to really cherish your family, friends(outside tekong), and QT and church. was pretty much home sick the first few days, not really adjusted to the life there. the first night i even dreamt tt i went to church! haha... right now it really feels good to be at home (or rather, the time spent outside tekong is good).
when QT is done in camp, somehow u'll feel that God is somewhat closer to you, and that every moment spent with Him is one to look forward to, to be refreshed in His presence. and when training gets tough, u'll cry out to Him for help and for strength. i guess that when u are at places where God doesn't seem to be arnd, you'll feel that He'll be even more present there!
right now as my first bookout is ending, army's gonna go into full swing, and i pray that i'll continue to press on, never to give up, and to go through this tough journey with Him. and if 500,000 singaporeans could get through army, i dun see why i can't, all the more with Him by my side.
-...and we'll march on with the power of His spirit. we'll be sure and steadfast as we worship at His feet...-and i watch as the cold winter melts into spring
and i'll be remembering You
oh and i'll smell the flowers and hear the birds sing
and i'll be remembering You, i'll be remembering You
