just decided to blog before i booked in. well, things have changed a whole lot after being enlisted for NS. some good and some, well, sometimes i'd rather not happen. good things are that u'll do once in a lifetime things, like shooting and stuff. and getting very fit is definitely good, slimming down and getting tanner! haha..
but yet, priorities have changed ever since NS. things that i would like to do doesn't seem so important now. i don't really care much about soccer, and who's been winning and transferring and stuff. every minute spent at home and with family feels a whole lot more important now. the
perspective i have about life, and what i do now seems a whole lot more real now.
pple say tt in the army, ur brain doesn't really get stimulated and get 'used'. haha. well, in a way it is, but i disagree. brain not acadamically stimulated, yes(unless counting strength), but its stimulated in a different way. life is suddenly not just about friends, grades and passing exams. i've been just thinking for what i'll be doing after my NS, what job, which school and a whole lot more of other things like
relationships (sniggers). heh.
what's kept me going all this while is God, and to have a positive attitude towards what i do. sometimes i really wonder how i've managed to go so far without like suffering a mental breakdown.
and 1 thing tt i've learnt in army is perspective, what i would want others to see in me. and that's one thing i guess i've been working on. having the Christ-likeness.
"Do everything without complaining or arguing, so that you may become blameless and pure, children of God without fault in a crooked and depraved generation, in which you shine like stars in the universe as you hold out the word of Life-in order that i may boast on the day of Christ that I did not labour or run for nothing.'
