have you ever thought that sometimes no matter how hard to try all your life, somehow you never really get what you expect? and then wham!! one word hits you.
Mediocrity. no matter how hard you try, no matter how hard you work, you just cannot reach or meet your expectation. you then try to look at almost every aspect of your life, trying to find somewhere or something you've excelled in, something that would you could say "ahhh..i've did it! great sense of achievement!". but the more you search, the harder it becomes.
then you look around. you see people who somehow just seem more slack then you or don't work as hard as you, but yet they do a lot better than you, straight A's and all. and all you can do is just..sigh.
i didn't get what i wanted, or rather what i applied for (aiyah, all the same). disappointed? definitely. and i was telling somebody that no matter how many disappointments that come your way, you somehow will not get used to it.
as i was typing, a verse just popped into my mind
13 For you created my inmost being;
you knit me together in my mother's womb.
14 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
your works are wonderful,
I know that full well.
all of us are unique in a way, all fearfully and wonderfully made. and as much as wallowing in your pool of pity and disappointment might make you feel somewhat better, knowing that the Lord has made you in such a beautiful way, and knowing that your trust in Him and His plan for you is better than anything else.
